At the Storch Plastic Surgery Facility at Aventura, we are pleased to offer many types of facial plastic surgery procedures.  The Storch Plastic Surgery Facility at Aventura is a state-of-the-art facility. Dr. Michael Storch feels it is vitally important for every patient to fully understand the details and considerations for each of the procedures they may be considering. Dr. Storch will personally discuss the options, along with the possible advantages, disadvantages, benefits, limitations, and risks for each of the procedures being considered.  Dr. Storch believes it is essential that you fully understand the options so that you can make a truly informed and comfortable decision regarding the procedures being considered.  

• Nasal Surgery/Rhinoplasty – Dr. Storch has become recognized as one of the foremost surgeons for nasal and rhinoplasty surgery in Florida. He is a member of the prestigious National Rhinoplasty Society. He is highly respected and recognized for both primary rhinoplasty procedures as well as secondary rhinoplasty procedures. (Please see separate rhinoplasty information in pre and post op photo gallery section, as well as in the nasal surgery sections that follow).

• Facelift – Facelifts are among the most popular facial plastic surgery procedures at our Aventura practice.  Facelifts are beneficial for patients seeking to tighten or re-drape loose, wrinkled skin around the face and neck.  The facelift procedure is frequently combined with many other types of facial plastic surgery procedures to enhance the overall rejuvenation effects. • Neck Lift – The neck lift procedure at the Storch Plastic Surgery Facility at Aventura can be done as an individual procedure, or in combination with a facelift or other procedures.  The individual neck lift procedure generally removes fat deposits from the neck, and tightens and repositions the skin and superficial muscles (platysma) of the neck. These muscles frequently cause the vertical “bands” or “cords” that develop in the front of the neck as we age.  Again, for even greater overall rejuvenation results, the neck lift can be combined with many other types of facial plastic surgery procedures.  

• Blepharoplasty ­– Blepharoplasty, also known as eyelid surgery, is a common facial plastic surgery procedure performed at our Aventura plastic surgery facility. The procedure is designed to improve the appearance of tired, puffy, or wrinkled skin around the eyelid areas.  This is done  by removing, and often repositioning, excess fat and skin from around the eyes. Like many facial plastic surgery procedures, blepharoplasty is frequently combined with other procedures to further enhance the results.

• Chin Implant – Some people are unhappy with the appearance, symmetry, or balance of their profile. A chin implant can frequently be very helpful in treating these concerns.   A chin implant can also help make the face appear fuller and more proportional from the frontal view. The procedure, like many others, can be done independently, or in combination with other procedures, such as nasal surgery, facelift, and neck lift type procedures.  The chin implant placement may be done through a small incision inside the lower lip, or through a small incision under the chin. The  procedure is generally   relatively simple, yet it can often produce a very subtle, though very significant, change in one’s overall appearance

• Chemical Peels – At the Storch Plastic Surgery Facility, we perform a range of different chemical peels. The chemical peels range from relatively mild to much more aggressive. The specific chemical peel that is chosen, and used, is determined by numerous factors including the goals of the patient, the individual’s skin type, and the availability of recovery time. At The Storch Plastic Surgery Facility, we also provide an in-house aesthetician for our patients’ skin care needs.

Our in-house aesthetician is very knowledgeable about many of the various skin peels available.  The chemical peels are designed to cover a wide variety of skin conditions with the goal of improving the overall skin tone, elasticity, and appearance. Dr. Storch and our aesthetician will work with you, together with the rest of our staff, to help match the proper chemical peel to your particular condition, needs, recovery options, and skin type.

• Fillers – Dr. Storch and our staff are pleased to offer numerous options when it comes to dermal fillers. For some patients interested in a possible nonsurgical alternative, or in addition to other facial plastic surgery procedures performed in our Aventura facility, “fillers” may be an answer.  We offer Restylane®, Perlane®, JUVÉDERM®, and Radiesse® to our patients.  All of our fillers are designed to reduce the signs of aging, such as wrinkles, and soft-tissue loss.  The fillers vary in terms of their composition and the longevity of the results.  Dr. Storch will be able to answer any questions during your personal consultation. Dr. Storch will discuss the possible indications, limitations, and risks regarding the possible use of these materials.

• Laser Skin Resurfacing – We at the Storch Plastic Surgery Facility are pleased to offer a variety of lasers that are used for  skin treatments and resurfacing.  As part of our state-of-the-art practice, we offer both the Fraxel® and Carbon Dioxide (CO2) laser treatments.  With this technology, Dr. Storch is able to treat a variety of skin conditions including superficial lines, wrinkles, some discoloration, and certain scars. These treatments are frequently performed on an outpatient basis. 

• CO2 or Carbon Dioxide Laser - The CO2 laser is a more aggressive laser and is generally used to treat more obvious lines or wrinkles. It is generally done with sedation, or general anesthesia in combination with local anesthesia. These treatments require several days to a week or more to recover. After the initial recovery the treated areas will frequently remain pink or red for several months. Make-up can generally be used to cover or bland the redness after six to ten days.     

• Fraxel® Laser - The Fraxel® Re-Store Laser will generally require a series of three to six (or more) treatments to achieve the desired anticipated results. These treatments are generally done several weeks apart and are done with only topical anesthesia and on an outpatient basis.  See laser information above.

• BOTOX® Cosmetic and Dysport® – Both are small-dose injections of botulinum designed to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, especially around the eyes.  During your   personal consultation, Dr. Storch will determine whether you are a good candidate for BOTOX® Cosmetic or Dysport® and proceed from there after discussing the considerations with you.
