The Procedure
Facelift surgery at our Aventura practice will be somewhat different for each patient. This is because the areas of concern in the face and neck, and the contours of everyone’s face, are different. At the Storch Plastic Surgery Facility, Dr. Storch and our staff strive to educate our patients in addition to providing superlative care. At our Aventura facility the facelift surgery itself begins with Dr. Storch making several incisions in the skin around the face and hairline. The underlying, deeper tissues are repositioned and tightened, and some of the excess tissue (skin, fat, and sometimes muscle) is removed if need be. Once the tissues have been repositioned and re-draped, any excess tissue can be removed. Dr. Storch then closes the incisions around the face and hairline with sutures. Some patients at our Aventura practice choose to combine facelift surgery with another plastic surgery procedure such as blepharoplasty, also known as eyelid surgery.
